Kidney-related problems are said to have been the cause of popular comedian Bonda Mani’s death on Saturday. He was 60 years old. The news of Bonda Mani’s passing was verified on Sunday by Sreedhar Pillai, a film trade analyst. According to a report, Mani passed away at his Pozhichalur home on Saturday night. He was taken to the government hospital in Chrompet, where the doctors pronounced him dead after performing an examination.

A report claims that Bonda Mani has performed in almost three decades in 270 films, mostly in comedic roles. A comedy track regular, he had been. His acting career began with Bhagyaraj’s Pavunnu Pavunudhaan and continued with Ponvilangu, Pongalo Pongal, Sundara Travels, Marudamalai, Winner, and Velayudham.

“Tamil cinema’s popular comedian Bonda Mani (60) passed away due to ill health,” tweeted Sreedhar Pillai. According to a report published in India Today, Bonda Mani’s remains are being held at his Pozhichalur home as a mark of respect, and his funeral ceremonies will be held at a Chrompet crematorium at approximately five o’clock in the evening. His wife Malathi, son, and daughter survive him.
