In order to safeguard themselves against hacking and cyberattacks, the Union government has released a new advisory requesting that all owners of Samsung Galaxy mobile phones update their operating systems and security software right away.

On December 13, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) released a high-risk security advisory outlining various security implications that affect millions of Samsung Galaxy phones, including both older and newer models.

As per the advisory, Samsung phone owners should update their OS firmware as soon as possible, as their phones fall under the “high-risk” category.
According to the notification, “Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Samsung products that could allow an attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions, access sensitive information, and execute arbitrary code on the targeted system.”
