A train accident has occurred in Andhra Pradesh in a passenger train travelling from Visakhapatnam to Rayagada. The train got derailed after it collided with another train travelling from Vishakhapatnam to Palasa. The incident occurred near Kothavalasa Railway Station in Vizianagaram district. According to report the train should have stopped for 2 minutes at defective auto signals, but that didn’t happen.

The Railway Ministry said on Monday that red signal had been crossed due to which the incident occurred. Till now at least 10 people have been confirmed dead.
